STEAM Lab

Mercury Mine's STEAM lab provides students in kindergarten through sixth grade with hands-on experiences that encourage creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking. 

What is STEAM?

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. This interdisciplinary approach to learning combines traditional STEM subjects with the arts. STEAM education encourages active, hands-on learning and provides students with an opportunity to make connections between the core subjects.

What does the STEAM lab offer?

The STEAM lab at Mercury Mine provides students with numerous resources that can be used to create, experiment, and innovate including, but not limited to:

  • 3D printers
  • Coding kits
  • Building materials
  • Art supplies
  • Science experiment kits
