About Our School
At Mercury Mine Elementary School, we have a dedicated and talented staff, outstanding students, parents, relatives, and neighbors who have a long-standing tradition of positively collaborating on a daily basis to create an amazing learning community for our children, generation after generation.
Mining the Promise of the Future
Mercury Mine is a unique elementary school nestled between the peaks of Dreamy Draw Park, near the U.S. 51, in a quiet, close-knit neighborhood community. Established in 1976, Mercury Mine has a stellar reputation of academic excellence, humanities, technology and leadership.
Our school has one-of-a-kind features! Mercury Mine is an original Kemper and Goodwin building. Being built by these two famous Arizona architects brings a special flair to our campus. And the unique architecture is just the beginning. Students are delighted to explore our Desert Education Area, complete with an amphitheater, stage, ramada, desert walk, ruins, and desert plants.
Mercury Mine offers the Core Knowledge® academic curriculum. Our dedicated team ensures that every student receives personalized instruction through small group activities and specialized programs such as Accelerated Reader. Additionally, Mercury Mine offers programs for gifted and special education students.
Every day, students are fully immersed in the joy of learning. Our exemplary teachers collaborate closely with families to foster a supportive and stimulating educational environment.
Mercury Mine Elementary students feed into Shea Middle School and Shadow Mountain High School. For information regarding either of these schools, please visit their websites.
